Stewed eggs


2 eggs
4 thsp sugar
120ml fresh milk
100ml water

  • Beat eggs and mix well with sugar, fresh milk and water.
  • Filter egg mixture into a porcelain bowl.
  • Cover the bowl with an aluminum foil (shiny surface facing up) to prevent water droplets from dripping into the beaten egg during steaming.
  • Place porcelain bowl into a steamer pot and steam over low heat for 45 minutes.


Add a moderate amount of fruit jam for a more tangy flavour to improve your appetite.
