4 eggs + 1 yolk
100g sugar
90g plain flour
10g chocolate powder
100g melted butter
Fudge Ingredients A:
500g water
150g sugar
50 butter
1/2 tsp instant jelly
Fudge Ingredients B:
200g water
60 hoen kwe flour
150g cooking chocolate
1/2 tsp rum flavouring
Method:
- Whisk eggs and sugar at maximum speed until stiff.
- Fold in sifted flour and chocolate powder by hand, using an upward circulating motion. Then add in warm melted butter and mix well.
- Pour into baking tin and bake for about 35 minutes.
- Cut the cake into three layers.
Fudge Method:
- Boil water, sugar, butter and instant jelly.
- Mix water and hoen kwe flour and pour into No.1 and add in cooking chocolate and rum flavouring.
- Surround the cake with a cake ring and pour fudge onto cake, by the layers. Leave cake in fridge to set.
*Hoen Kwe flour is a pre-mixed pudding flour from Indonesia. Hoen Kwe comes in a variety of colors
